The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that JAMB form for UTME and Direct Entry (DE) registration will be out on 19th January 2027.

How much is JAMB form for 2027?

JAMB UTME form is N4,700, while JAMB direct entry (DE) form is N8,500.

In addition to this, there are other associated fees, which include:

1. STEP 1: Create a JAMB profile by sending your NIN to 55019 via SMS.
2. STEP 2: Buy 2027 JAMB e-PIN online or from the bank.
3. STEP 3: Visit any JAMB-accredited CBT to complete your registration online.

• If you are applying through Direct Entry (DE), you will only register; you won’t be required to sit for the 2027 UTME examination.
• During UTME registration, you can choose up to three universities, one polytechnic, and one college of education or technical institution.
• However, you are only allowed to select one university as your first choice, while the others will be listed as second and third choices.
• You can register for JAMB 2027 while waiting for your O’level results (i.e WAEC, NECO, NABTEB), but you must upload them later to be considered for admission.
• This means that Awaiting Result is accepted for JAMB 2027 registration.

Difference Between JAMB UTME and Direct Entry Admission

The key difference between JAMB UTME and JAMB Direct Entry (DE) lies in the entry level and required qualifications.

JAMB Direct Entry Admission 2027/2028

JAMB Direct Entry admission 2027 is for candidates who have higher academic qualifications, such as:

• National Diploma (ND)
• Higher National Diploma (HND)
• Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
• Degree certificate
• Equivalent qualifications

As a Direct Entry candidate, you will be admitted to start from 200 Level or 300 Level, depending on your qualification and the university’s admission policy, instead of starting from the regular 100 Level like UTME candidates.

JAMB UTME Admission 2027/2028

UTME  stands for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, and it is the main mode of admission into Nigerian universities.

To be eligible for the 2027 UTME:

• You must have your SSCE results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) or
•  You can register with awaiting results, and upload them later
• You must be 16 years old
