PAAU Withdraws 27 Students Over Poor Academic Performance, Failure to Register.
Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has withdrawn 27 students over poor academic performance and failure to register for two consecutive semesters.
The decision was approved by the university’s Senate during its 166th Regular Meeting held on 29th July 2026, following the report of the Results Verification Committee.
According to the university, 11 students were withdrawn for failing to meet the minimum academic requirements, while 16 students lost their studentship for failing to register for two consecutive semesters, in line with the institution’s academic regulations.
The affected students are from the Faculties of Arts and Humanities, Education, Management Sciences, Social Sciences, and Medicine and Surgery.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, said the decision reflects the university’s commitment to maintaining academic excellence, discipline, and quality assurance.
He also urged continuing students to remain focused on their studies and comply with the university’s academic regulations.
Meanwhile, the affected students have been directed to return all university property, including their identity cards and other official items, before leaving the institution.
