The management of Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) has announced Saturday, 13th February 2027, as the official matriculation date for newly admitted students for the 2026/2027 academic session.

This means that FUTO matriculation ceremony for freshers will hold on Saturday, 13th February 2027.

• Students are advised to visit their respective departments and faculties to collect their matriculation gowns.
• The event will start at 10 AM.
• Students who have not yet paid their school fees are strongly urged to do so before the matriculation ceremony.
• All matriculating students are expected to make the necessary arrangements to attend the ceremony.

How to Check FUTO Matriculation List 2026/2027

If you have been offered admission to Federal University of Technology Owerri for the 2026/2027 academic session, follow the guidelines below to confirm if your admission is genuine or fake.

Here is how to check your name on FUTO Matriculation List:

1. Go to FUTO Matriculation list Portal at www.efacility.jamb.gov.ng
2. Select your admission year from the dropdown menu.
3. Type in your JAMB Registration number correctly.
4. After entering your details, click on “Fetch My Details”
5. The portal will load your data if your name is on the list.

Requirements to be on FUTO Matriculation List

For your name to be on FUTO matriculation list, you must meet the following mandatory admission requirements:

1. You must have been offered admission on JAMB CAPS portal and FUTO undergraduate portal.
2. Print your JAMB Admission Letter from the e-Facility platform.
3. Print your original JAMB result from the e-Facility platform.
4. Verify your JAMB admission letter and original JAMB result
5. Pay FUTO acceptance fee and school fees.
6. Your name will not be on the list if you edit your original JAMB result or admission letter.

It is important to confirm your name on the matriculation list. Only candidates whose names are on this list are recognised as bonafide students of Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO).

By implication, if your name is not on FUTO matriculation list, your application to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme for the one-year national service shall be declined.
