Requirements for FG Scholarship Award 2027/2028
To be eligible for the Federal Government Scholarship to study in Nigeria, here are the requirements you need to meet:
- If you are a postgraduate student, you must have graduated with at least a Second Class Upper (2:1) and be studying full-time at a Federal or State University.
- If you are an undergraduate or HND student, you must be in your second year or above and also be studying full-time at a Federal or State University, Polytechnic, or Monotechnic.
- As an undergraduate, you’ll need a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale, 5.0 on a 7.0 scale, or its equivalent.
- If you’re applying as an HND student, you must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Go to Federal Ministry of Education website at www.education.gov.ng and click on the Federal Scholarship Board icon on the homepage.
- Read the guidelines carefully, then fill out the application form online.
- Provide the necessary information to create a profile.
