University of Otago International Excellence Scholarship 2027/2028 is now available for Nigerian students aspiring to study in New Zealand universities with full financial support.

University of Otago provides funding to support Master’s and Doctoral students studying at the school.

The Scholarship is available to both domestic and international students, with funding up to $30,696 per year for Master’s and Doctoral studies.

NZ$18,204 stipend per annum plus a tuition fee waiver for 1 year capped at NZ$35,000 for Master’s study (excludes student services fee and insurance).

Doctor of Philosophy

NZ$$30,696 stipend per annum plus a domestic tuition fees waiver for 36 months (excludes student services fee and insurance) Professional Doctorates (DClinDent, DMA, DBA, EDd) – NZ$32,544 stipend per annum plus a tuition fee waiver for up to 36 months capped at the domestic rate (excludes student services fee and insurance).

To be eligible for University of Otago Scholarship to study in New Zealand, you must meet the following conditions:

1. Be applying for their first Master’s degree.
2. Enrol in a thesis-based Master’s program.
3. Demonstrate excellent academic performance.
4. Meet the admission requirements of the University of Otago.
